Cybersecurity for small business

Big-company protection. Built for the businesses big MSPs leave behind.

Your laptops, inboxes and phones face the same threats as any enterprise. Northridge Cyber covers the essentials at a price a small business can actually afford, with a real person to guide you.

  • 24/7 threat detection
  • Safe browsing
  • Patching
  • Backup
The gap

Too small for the big providers. Too important to leave unprotected.

  1. Enterprise MSPs are priced for enterprises. Their bundles and minimums are built for companies with IT departments.
  2. Consumer antivirus is not enough. Ransomware, phishing and fake payment requests target small businesses because they expect weaker defenses.
  3. You should not need to be technical. You need protection that works quietly and someone to call when you have a question.
What we protect

The essentials, done right.

Six services that cover where small businesses actually get hit: their computers, their email, their phones and the links their people click. Set up once, then working quietly in the background on Windows and Mac.

24/7 threat detection

A human-led security team watches your computers day and night and stops ransomware and other attacks in progress.

Safe browsing, laptop and phone

Malicious and phishing sites blocked before the page opens, on your laptop and your phone, wherever you and your team are working.

Patching and updates

Your system and apps update automatically, so known security holes get closed without you thinking about it.

Account hardening and payment checks

Multi-factor sign-in on your key accounts, set up with you, and a payment-verification routine so fake payment requests don't work.

A real person if something happens

Call or email us. We help you through it, and can connect to your computer, with your permission, to sort it out.

Backup, as a safety net

Laptop and email backups that criminals can't alter, tested regularly, so a deleted message or a compromised account is not a lost business.

We are built to stop threats before they reach you, and a real person is there if one does. No service can promise to stop every attack.

Why Northridge

A guide who knows the terrain.

Hold the high ground

Every laptop, inbox and phone is covered, because attackers look for the gap.

Lead the climb

Plain-language answers and a clear next step, never a lecture.

Verify every step

We recommend only what you need, and we never sell with scare tactics.

Climb as one team

Your business is your livelihood. We treat its outcome as our own.

Who it's for

Built for small businesses, whatever their size.

Too small for an IT department, too important to leave unprotected. Whether it's just you or a growing team, anywhere in the US.

Small offices

Accountants, consultants, agencies and other offices with a handful of laptops, client files and a lot of email.

Mom-and-pop shops

One shared front-desk computer, plus payment and supplier emails that a scammer can fake.

Insurance agencies

You hold clients' personal data, and you get targeted with phishing and fake payment requests.

Trades and field services

Contractors, inspectors and repair crews run quotes, invoices and customer details from laptops and phones.

Professional services

Bookkeepers, tax preparers and advisors whose clients trust them with financial and personal records.

Real estate and property

Agents, brokers and property managers who move contracts and payments by email.

Insurance-ready

Answer your insurance questions with facts.

Cyber insurance applications ask what protection you really have. We give you a letter that states it plainly, and help you fill in the answers.

We are not insurance agents. We don't sell, quote or recommend coverage. If you want to talk to someone licensed, we can introduce you to a licensed cyber insurance broker. We never take a commission.

Insurance agencies are welcome as clients. We protect your devices and your clients' data. That is separate from selling insurance, which we never do.

A tip for business owners: many policies cap payouts for funds-transfer fraud far below the big number on the front page. It is worth reading that part of your own policy. We can't advise on coverage, but your broker can.

What the posture letter states

  • 24/7 managed threat detection and response on all your devices
  • Immutable (cannot be altered) backups, with the date of the last successful restore test
  • The date we verified multi-factor sign-in on your key accounts
  • Safe browsing protection status
  • Patch and update status

The letter describes facts about your setup. Your insurer makes every coverage and pricing decision.

Your phone, your rules

Protection that leaves the office with you. Control stays with you.

We never control or manage your personal phone. Each person on your team keeps control of theirs. We don't install management software, see your photos or wipe anything.

What we do: set up safe-browsing protection as a simple settings profile you can remove any time, then walk you through a short hardening checklist. Most phone attacks are fake texts and stolen accounts, so these steps matter more than any app.

The hardening checklist

  • Stolen Device Protection turned on (iPhone), so a thief who knows your passcode still can't take over your account.
  • Carrier port-out PIN, a defense against SIM swap, where a scammer moves your phone number to their device.
  • Multi-factor sign-in on your email, because your email can reset almost everything else.
  • Safe-browsing profile that blocks known bad sites. You can remove it whenever you like.
Straight talk

What we don't do.

Better you hear it from us now. A good fit starts with clear limits.

  • We can't watch inside free webmail (Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud) for account takeover. We protect your devices and keep your mail backed up as a safety net.
  • Multi-factor sign-in stays in your hands. We set it up with you and check it, but you control your accounts.
  • No password manager and no training courses are included.
  • We can't protect a mailbox someone else controls (a franchise, brokerage or parent company). We cover your devices and back up what that mailbox allows.
  • We don't control your phone. You keep full control.
  • We don't promise perfect protection. No one can. We focus on prevention, and we're there to help if something gets through.
FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

Do I need Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?

No. Protection lives on your laptop and in your phone's settings. A free Gmail, Yahoo or iCloud address works fine.

Will it slow my laptop down?

The software is light and runs quietly in the background. Most people never notice it. If you do, tell us and we'll look into it.

What if I get hacked?

Call or email us, and a real person helps you through it. Our security team is watching around the clock, and they act to contain the problem. If files are affected, we can restore them from your backup. We focus on stopping threats early. No service can promise to prevent every attack.

Can you see my files and email?

We can connect to your computer for support, but only with your permission. Your backups are encrypted. We keep access to what is needed to protect and restore your setup.

What happens if I cancel?

It's month-to-month, so you can cancel any time. We remove the software from your devices and you can take your backups with you. We'll walk you through it.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of people?

No minimum and no maximum. One person or a hundred, the price is $59.99 per person per month. Add or remove people any month.

Do you support Macs?

Yes. Windows and Mac laptops are both covered. Phones are covered by safe browsing and the hardening checklist, never by device control.

Do you sell insurance?

No. We aren't licensed insurance agents and we don't sell, quote or recommend coverage. We provide an insurance-ready letter about your security setup and can introduce you to a licensed cyber insurance broker. We never take a commission.

My email is run by a franchise or parent company. Can you still help?

Yes, with limits. We can't protect a mailbox someone else controls, but we protect your laptop, back it up and secure your phone's browsing. We also back up what the mailbox allows.

Secure the way forward.

Tell us a little about your business and we will recommend the right protection. No pressure, no jargon.
